As part of a two week residency 'Welcome to the Neighborhood' July 2011 I produced and exhibited two separate bodies of work ' Contemplation' and 'Hanni's House'

'Hanni's house' a series of photographs and a 16 min DVD, HD of a cottage which has been abandoned for 17 years. The cottage though crumbling is still is full of objects which Hanni, a settled traveller owned, with her shirt still hanging on the wall. Her nephew who used to live in the cottage with Hanni and his grandparents talks about living there, the town, the traveler way of life, and Hanni.

'Contemplation' was a series of interventions within the 11c ruined friary and cloister in Askeaton town. The interventions focused on the enclosed cloister - which originally would have been laid with grass as green was viewed as the color of contemplation - an aid to prayer. Introducing color to the ruined friary the audience experienced the cloister in a different context

The work was shown a documentary photographs and a DVD Green Cloister, 2"45 mins
